Tandy Bowen grew up wealthy until a car crash took her father and her old life; now she steals and crashes wherever she can. Tyrone Johnson comes from a careful, churchgoing family and has spent years blaming himself for his older brother's death. Tandy can pull daggers of pure light from her hands. Tyrone can swallow people and objects into darkness with a touch of his cloak. Apart, their gifts terrify them and slip out of control. Together, they start to mean something. The series is in no rush to make them a team. First it digs into grief, racial injustice and growing up in a city stacked against them. Aubrey Joseph and Olivia Holt anchor both halves.

Showrunner Joe Pokaski made Cloak & Dagger for Freeform within Marvel's TV slate, running two seasons and twenty episodes to a finished arc.
