Jupiter's Legacy (Season 1)

Jupiter's Legacy (2021) is a Netflix superhero series you can watch online on iFILM. Earth's first heroes gained their powers in the 1930s and spent nearly a century policing the world by a strict moral code. Now they've grown old, and their celebrity children care more about fame than saving anyone.

At the heart of it is the Utopian, Sheldon Sampson, a patriarch who treats his Code like scripture: never kill, never meddle in politics. His son Brandon is breaking himself trying to measure up to the legend, his daughter Chloe has fled into a haze of parties, and his brother Walter keeps wondering whether the old rules still hold. The show jumps between two eras — a 1930s thread follows ordinary men chasing a strange source of power through the Depression, while the present watches that legacy crack apart. Josh Duhamel plays the Utopian across both timelines, alongside Ben Daniels and Leslie Bibb.

It's adapted from the cult comic by Mark Millar and artist Frank Quitely, the same Millar behind Wanted and Kingsman. Showrunner Steven S. DeKnight (Spartacus, Daredevil) bet on family drama inside the cape genre, and those scenes outdo the action by a mile.
