Under Siege 2: Dark Territory

Under Siege 2: Dark Territory (1995) is the action sequel you can watch online on iFILM. Steven Seagal is back as ex-Navy SEAL Casey Ryback, who traded a hijacked battleship for a hijacked train this time around.

Ryback is riding cross-country with his orphaned niece when mercenaries seize the rest of the cars. The brains behind it is Travis Dane, a fired weapons scientist played with smug glee by Eric Bogosian, who has turned a luggage car into a mobile control room for a secret orbital weapon and plans to wipe out the Eastern Seaboard. Ryback's backup amounts to a fast-talking porter and a trainload of hostages. From there it runs on the usual recipe: narrow corridors, snapped wrists, and explosions at full speed.

Director Geoff Murphy keeps the pace pinned at locomotive level, light on logic and heavy on mid-nineties noise. A young Katherine Heigl and Morris Chestnut turn up along the way.
