Armageddon

NASA settles on a desperate plan: land oil drillers on the rock, sink a shaft, and detonate a nuclear charge deep inside to split it in two. The man they need is Harry Stamper (Willis), the best driller alive. He'll only go if he can bring his own crew of rough-edged roughnecks, including the cocky A.J. (Ben Affleck), who happens to be in love with Harry's daughter (Liv Tyler). They get twelve days of astronaut training, give or take.
