Animaniacs (Seasons 1–5)

Animaniacs (1993–1998) is the riotous Warner Bros. cartoon you can watch online on iFILM. Yakko, Wakko and their little sister Dot are the three Warner siblings the studio supposedly locked in a water tower back in the 1930s. They busted out in the '90s, and now nothing in the lot is safe.

There's no single plot here. The show is a rapid-fire string of sketches: Yakko rattling off every nation on Earth in one breath, Pinky and the Brain scheming again to take over the world, Slappy Squirrel insulting whoever wanders into frame. Roughly half the jokes were aimed squarely over the kids' heads at the parents in the room. The voice work from Rob Paulsen, Jess Harnell, Tress MacNeille and Maurice LaMarche carries the whole frantic thing.

Produced under Steven Spielberg's banner, the series leaned on a full orchestra, old-Hollywood gags and movie parodies that still hold up.
