My Wild Friend

A seventh-grader, an unfamiliar town, and a fox cub caught in a trap — that's where My Wild Friend (2024) begins, a Russian family film you can watch online on iFILM. His mother, a scientist, has dropped him here from Moscow while she's away on yet another expedition.

Things never clicked with his classmates, so after lessons Sasha tends to wander the woods alone. One day he finds a little fox snared in a trap. When he learns poachers are after the cub, the boy hides it in a dugout deep in the forest and nurses it back to health. From there grows a story about friendship, responsibility, and doing the right thing when the grown-up rules aren't built for it.

Directed by Anna Kurbatova, the film stars young Elisey Chuchilin, with Yulia Aleksandrova and Yuri Kolokolnikov on hand.
