Glasha lives with her grandmother in the small town of Shuya and dreams of directing films. When her grandmother dies, custody is meant to pass to her stern older aunt Valya, so the girl bolts for Moscow and her flighty younger aunt Anya instead. Anya has zero interest in raising a prickly teenager. But circumstances put the two of them on the same road, and the trip turns into something neither of them signed up for.

It's a warm road movie about two stubborn temperaments learning to fit together through arguments and awkward silences. Asmus plays a grown-up who still has growing to do, and that's the best thing in it. Easy company for a quiet family evening. Stream Both are Two (2024) online on iFILM.
