When he forgets Mercredi at the school gate once too many times, the state assigns Séverine — a cheerful and very thorough social worker played by Camille Cottin — to monitor the household. Reine's film finds its comedy not in staged incompetence but in the low-grade sustained chaos of actual lone parenting. Cottin is quietly excellent.
