A group of bored teens passes around an embalmed hand. Light a candle, grip it, say the words, and a spirit borrows your body for sixty seconds. At first it's a party stunt, phone footage, a dare. Then Mia, still raw from losing her mother, holds on too long. The door that was supposed to slam shut stays cracked open, and whatever slipped through starts following her home. Alexandra Jensen, Joe Bird and Miranda Otto round out the cast.

The Philippous came up making stunt-heavy YouTube videos as RackaRacka, and they carry that brutal, hands-on sense of impact into the film. Made on a small budget, it pulled in tens of millions and turned into a word-of-mouth hit among horror fans.
