The Faculty

The Faculty (1998) is Robert Rodriguez's sci-fi horror you can watch online on iFILM. At Herrington High in small-town Ohio the routine feels familiar — cliques, jocks, loners — until the teachers start acting like someone, or something, swapped them out.

It begins with a dried-up larva found on the football field. A photography geek brings it to biology class, the thing wakes up in water and bites the teacher, and paranoia spreads through the halls. A handful of students figure out the adults aren't human anymore. The cast is loaded with rising names — Josh Hartnett, Elijah Wood, Jordana Brewster, Clea DuVall, Laura Harris — plus Robert Patrick, Famke Janssen, Bebe Neuwirth and Salma Hayek among the staff.

Written by Kevin Williamson of Scream fame, the film crosses teen drama with Invasion of the Body Snatchers into a sharp who's-infected guessing game. Late-90s soundtrack, Rodriguez's kinetic style, and a reveal it keeps close to the chest. Stream The Faculty (1998) online on iFILM.
