It wasn't. Director Pang Ho-Cheung follows up his 2010 film "Love in a Puff" by bringing the same leads — Miriam Yeung and Shawn Yue — into a city where neither of them quite fits. Beijing's social codes and pace create a second layer of displacement: these two people are strangers to their new partners and strangers to where they're standing.
