Synopsis
The Incredible Jessica James (2017) is a sharp indie romcom you can watch online on iFILM. Written and directed by Jim Strouse, the film follows Jessica, a New York playwright who spends her days running a youth theater program and her evenings pretending she's completely fine since the breakup. She is not.
Jessica Williams plays the lead with the kind of energy that fills a room and refuses to be pitied. Chris O'Dowd is the recently divorced app designer she meets on a blind date — neither of them expecting much. Lakeith Stanfield appears as the ex neither can stop thinking about. At 83 minutes the film moves fast, keeps its humor dry and earns its warmth without pushing too hard for it.
