Synopsis
Cold War (2012) is a Hong Kong action thriller from Edko Films — watch it online on iFILM. Directors Sunny Luk Kim-Ching and Leung Lok-Man built the film around two heavyweight Cantonese stars: Aaron Kwok Fu-Shing and Tony Leung Ka-fai.
Five officers vanish overnight along with a police armoured van in Mongkok. With the commissioner abroad, deputy chiefs Sean Lau and M.B. Waise Lee grab the reins — and promptly lock horns. Lee launches the "Cold War" rescue operation; Lau shoves him aside on procedural grounds. A ransom is paid, the men come home alive, and that is exactly what troubles the ICAC investigators who then turn their scrutiny on both deputies. Andy Lau rounds out the cast in a sharp supporting turn as advisor Philip Luk.
