Synopsis
Manjummel Boys (2024) is a Malayalam survival thriller you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Chidambaram. Ten friends from the Manjummel neighbourhood of Ernakulam take a holiday trip to Kodaikanal. On the way home, one of them remembers the Guna Caves — famous across Kerala from a film shot on that location in 1992.
They push past the warning signs. One friend loses his footing and drops into a pit more than 200 feet deep. Silence. No response. The others call for help from villagers, forest rangers and police — and hear the same thing from all of them: nobody has come back from that abyss.
Drawn from an incident that happened in 2006 and shot at the real location, the film became one of the highest-grossing Malayalam releases in years. Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi and Balu Varghese lead the cast. What makes it work so hard is how little it needs — nine men who refuse to leave without the tenth.
