Synopsis
Burning Days (Kurak Günler, 2022) is a Turkish political thriller you can watch online on iFILM, written and directed by Emin Alper. A young state prosecutor named Emre arrives in the drought-stricken town of Yanıklar just before a mayoral election — and runs straight into a wall of local power that has no interest in being examined.
When a young woman is raped, Emre opens an investigation that pulls him steadily deeper into the town's ecosystem until the line between law and complicity starts to dissolve. Selahattin Paşalı plays Emre as a man who came to enforce the rules and discovers the rules were never really in charge.
