Who was she? Why did she die? And who is still waiting for her to come home? The investigation pulls the lead through a cold port city where everyone guards something, and the truth melts as slowly as the ice that gave up the corpse. Director Xawery Żuławski shoots less of a procedural than a character study of a woman chasing a killer while deciding whether she's ready to become a mother herself. Katarzyna Wajda anchors it in the lead role.
