Synopsis
"Deep in the Heart" (心迷宫, 2015) is a Chinese mystery drama you can watch online on iFILM. Debut director Xin Yukun shot it on a minimal budget in a remote mountain village — and built something that punches far above its means.
An unidentifiable charred body turns up near the village. Nobody claims it. Nobody talks. Three stories unfold in parallel: a son straining against his father's grip, a woman worn down by years of abuse who has reached a breaking point, a local thug whose debts have caught up with him. Each connects to the corpse in ways none of them wants discovered.
