Synopsis
Inside Out (2015) is the Pixar animated film you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Pete Docter, most of the story unfolds inside the head of an eleven-year-old girl named Riley, where five Emotions take turns running her mood.
Joy (voiced by Amy Poehler) holds the controls, sharing the console with Sadness, Fear, Anger and Disgust. Things ran smoothly back in Minnesota. Then the family moves to a loud, crowded San Francisco, and Riley's whole routine falls apart: a new school, an empty house, furniture still stuck in a moving truck. In the chaos, Joy and Sadness get swept out of headquarters and lost deep in long-term memory. To find their way back they cross a maze of forgotten thoughts and a crumbling land of imagination, and along the way they figure out why a kid actually needs to feel sad.
The voice cast includes Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Bill Hader, Lewis Black and Mindy Kaling. Watch for Bing Bong, a half-forgotten imaginary friend who quietly breaks hearts. In 95 minutes Pixar explains how feelings work better than most psychology textbooks, and the film won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. Stream Inside Out (2015) online on iFILM.
