Synopsis
Open Marriage (2023) is a Russian dramedy you can watch online on iFILM. Seva and Oksana are past forty, with three kids, a roomy apartment in central Moscow and two solid careers. From the outside they look like the couple everyone envies. Then, after twenty years together, Oksana sleeps with someone else for the first time — and tells her husband to his face.
What follows isn't the breakup he braces for. Instead of a divorce, she pitches an experiment: drop the lies and try living openly. Seva grumbles, then agrees, and no wonder — he's been keeping a mistress of his own, their younger son's teacher. Both think they've come out ahead. Freedom, it turns out, is messier than the rules they just tore up. Marina Aleksandrova and Anton Vasilyev anchor the marriage, with Vladimir Yaglych, Polina Maksimova and Gosha Kutsenko orbiting around it.
Directors Ivan Kitaev and Anna Kurbatova skip the lectures here. Nobody preaches the right way to love; the show just watches what happens when grown adults decide to rewrite the terms. It lands best with viewers who prefer awkward, honest talk about intimacy over a tidy ending. Stream Open Marriage (2023) online on iFILM.
