Muchachos

Director Jesús Braceras built the film from home videos shot by fans across the globe and never-before-seen drone footage captured during the victory parade in Buenos Aires, with whole streets drowned in white and sky blue. From the shaky group stage through the knockout rounds to that final against France, the familiar beats — dread, hope, tears — are relived from inside the crowd rather than the press box. Actor Guillermo Francella narrates, and Lionel Messi is there on screen.
