Synopsis
Lucky Luke and the Daltons (Les Dalton, 2004) is a French live-action comedy western you can watch online on iFILM. Drawn from the beloved Franco-Belgian comic, it follows the four Dalton brothers — the clumsiest outlaws the West ever produced — as they rob a bank just to make their stern mother proud.
Philippe Haïm directs, and the French comedy team of Éric Judor and Ramzy Bedia plays two of the brothers: one a gangly fool, the other a pint-sized troublemaker. After breaking out of jail, the Daltons race across the Mexican border chasing a magic sombrero, while sharpshooting cowboy Lucky Luke — the man who shoots faster than his own shadow — stays right on their trail. Til Schweiger and a young Jean Dujardin round out the cast.
This is broad slapstick built on Morris's classic comic strips: pratfalls, chases, and a cartoonishly silly frontier aimed squarely at fans who grew up with the Daltons. The humor is simple and an acquired taste, but it stays family-friendly. Stream Lucky Luke and the Daltons (2004) online on iFILM.
