Viktor Suslov survived one mother-in-law. The new one — played with total authority by Aronova — runs the household on her own terms and has no plans to negotiate. Things escalate when Viktor's twin brother Tokha, also Burunov, turns up unannounced and reignites an old feud the family had more or less buried. The mother-in-law doesn't help matters. Then corrections officers from the federal prison service show up at the door, and they're looking specifically for Tokha.
