Synopsis
This Is Not Berlin (Esto no es Berlín, 2019) is a Mexican drama you can watch online on iFILM. Mexico City, 1986: seventeen-year-old Carlos doesn't fit anywhere — not at home, not at school, not with the friends he's drifted into. Then he gets pulled into a legendary underground club, and the world reorganizes itself.
Inside he finds punk, performance art, queer nightlife, and drugs — and people who don't ask him to be anything other than what he is. Marina de Tavira and Lumi Cavazos appear in supporting roles. Director Hari Sama drew directly from his own adolescence in the city.
