Synopsis

Framing John DeLorean (2019) is a documentary-drama hybrid you can watch online on iFILM. Who was the man who dreamed up the DMC-12 — the gull-wing car the world later knew from Back to the Future? A visionary who reshaped the auto business, or a con man whose dream car flopped? The film refuses to settle it for you.

Directors Don Argott and Sheena M. Joyce splice archival footage and interviews with staged reenactments, casting Alec Baldwin as DeLorean alongside Morena Baccarin and Josh Charles. It traces his climb to stardom, the factory he built in Northern Ireland, and the steep collapse that ended in a drug-trafficking arrest.

The sharpest moments aren't the facts but the gaps between them — Baldwin, in the makeup chair, openly puzzling over who he's even playing while the portrait keeps shifting. That makes it one for viewers who'd rather watch a myth get argued over than sit through a tidy biopic. Stream Framing John DeLorean (2019) online on iFILM.
