Synopsis
Ordinary World (2016) is a comedy-drama from director Lee Kirk that you can watch online on iFILM. Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong takes the lead as Perry, a former punk singer who long ago traded the stage for a quiet suburban house, a wife, and two kids.
Turning forty hits him hard, so Perry decides to throw himself one last gig the way he used to. Reality keeps getting in the way: a mortgage, school runs, and a body that no longer bounces back. Judy Greer plays his patient wife, with Fred Armisen and Selma Blair as friends from the old days, and Joan Jett turning up along the way.
It's a small, warm film about the age when a teenage dream no longer fits the calendar yet refuses to die. Anyone who grew up on punk rock and has quietly added up the cost of nostalgia will recognize Perry instantly. Stream Ordinary World (2016) online on iFILM.
