Synopsis
Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku (2020) is a Japanese musical rom-com you can watch online on iFILM. Twenty-six-year-old Narumi Momose starts a new office job and runs straight into a former classmate, Hirotaka. Both of them are hiding the exact same thing — they are otaku.
Narumi secretly devours BL manga; Hirotaka can't put down his games. At work they pass as ordinary colleagues, but off the clock they'll argue about their favorite series for hours. The two agree to date, then discover that two nerds who have never really done relationships find being a couple far harder than expected. Mitsuki Takahata and Kento Yamazaki keep it light, and director Yuichi Fukuda breaks into song-and-dance numbers right in the middle of the workday.
