Synopsis
Radio Day (2008) is a Russian comedy you can watch online on iFILM, built around the cult stage troupe Kvartet I.
A Moscow station called As-If Radio wakes up to a dead schedule and one ridiculous lifeline: a small boat stranded without fuel somewhere in the Sea of Japan, carrying two circus performers, a pack of poodles and a bear. The hosts inflate the non-event into a breaking saga about a sinking research liner full of the world's rarest animals, then spend the entire broadcast day improvising a live rescue marathon on air.
Adapted from Kvartet I's hit play, the film lets Barats, Khait, Demidov and Larin play the on-air crew, with a crowd of Russian rock stars dropping by between gags.
