Synopsis
The Layover (2017) is an American comedy directed by William H. Macy — watch it online on iFILM. Two best friends book a flight to a tropical resort to escape dead-end jobs and bad luck. A hurricane warning reroutes the plane to St. Louis, swapping their beach holiday for an extended layover they didn't plan for.
On board, both women zero in on the same attractive stranger. Both happen to be single. What follows is a contest for his attention that starts playfully and escalates well past the point of reasonable behavior. Kate Upton and Alexandra Daddario commit fully to the rivalry and carry most of the film's comic energy between them, with Molly Shannon and Rob Corddry in supporting roles.
