Synopsis
"The Meetings of Anna" (Les Rendez-vous d'Anna, 1978) is a Belgian drama you can watch online on iFILM. Director Chantal Akerman follows a young filmmaker named Anna Silver (Aurore Clément) across several days of solo travel through Germany, Belgium and France — hotel rooms, railway platforms, and brief encounters with people who confide in her more than she expects.
A former lover in Cologne, a stranger on a night train, her mother in Brussels — each leaves something behind. Anna listens and gives back very little. Akerman works here the way she always did: no score to steer your mood, no cutting away from the quiet stretches, just a woman moving through space in something close to real time.
