The Whistleblower

Kathryn Bolkovac, a Nebraska cop chasing a better paycheck, signs on as a peacekeeper and slowly realizes that the mission itself is shielding a trafficking ring. The deeper she pushes, the more isolated she becomes — colleagues stall her, paperwork vanishes, and the women she tries to protect keep disappearing. Vanessa Redgrave, Monica Bellucci, David Strathairn, Benedict Cumberbatch and Liam Cunningham fill out the bureaucracy around her.

Larysa Kondracki's first feature draws on the real Kathryn Bolkovac case, whose testimony exposed contractors who profited from the abuse they were sent to stop.
