Synopsis
A Crime in Paradise (Un crime au Paradis, 2001) is a French black comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Jean Becker reworks Sacha Guitry's old classic La Poison, handing the leads to Jacques Villeret and Josiane Balasko, with André Dussollier rounding out the cast.
Farmer Jojo and his wife Lulu have spent years curdling into a quiet, everyday loathing. Divorce suits neither of them, since the shared farm binds them tighter than affection ever did. So Jojo finds a loophole. After spotting a celebrated defense lawyer on television, he drives off to consult him, and through a string of sly questions he teases out exactly when a killer walks free. All that's left is to put the lesson to use.
