Balls of Fury

Balls of Fury (2007) is Robert Ben Garant's crime-comedy spoof, ready to watch online on iFILM. A washed-up table-tennis prodigy who flamed out at the Olympics is bouncing balls in a tacky Vegas revue when the FBI shows up at his dressing room.

The deal they offer Randy Daytona (Dan Fogler): infiltrate an underground tournament hosted by arms dealer Feng. Small catch — Feng murders everyone who loses. Randy trains under a blind sensei (James Hong) and his niece Maggie (Maggie Q), but the film's real ace is Christopher Walken in silk robes and brocade, playing the villain with a magnificently straight face. The gags come at ping-pong speed: martial-arts parody, kung fu with paddles, and a steady pile of absurdity.

It was written by Garant and Thomas Lennon of the Reno 911! crew, so the humor is proudly dumb and never pretends otherwise. The supporting bench is stacked — George Lopez, Terry Crews, Aisha Tyler, Masi Oka.
