Synopsis
La Vénus électrique (2026) is a French comedy-drama you can watch online on iFILM. Antoine (Pio Marmai) is a painter who stopped painting — ever since his wife Irène died, a loss he holds himself responsible for. He drinks. He can't work.
In desperation he goes to Suzanne (Anaïs Demoustier), a broke fairground act who pretends to be a clairvoyant. She isn't one. But Antoine's art dealer Armand (Gilles Lellouche) pays her to keep the performance going — hypnosis sessions she invents on the spot, words she channels from a dead woman, a deception that keeps growing its own logic. Director Pierre Salvadori, who made Priceless back in 2006, has a precise feel for comedies where the joke is really about grief or loneliness. This one is both.
