About

Synopsis

Madagascar (2005) is a DreamWorks Animation comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Directors Eric Darnell and Tom McGrath built the story around four Central Park Zoo animals who have never had to find their own food, dodge a predator, or sleep on anything that isn't a clean enclosure floor. Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer, and Jada Pinkett Smith voice the crew.

Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe, and Gloria the hippo wind up shipwrecked on Madagascar — no staff, no feeding schedule, nothing pre-sliced. Marty thinks this is the adventure he always wanted. Alex is horrified to discover what lions are actually supposed to eat. Melman immediately assumes he's contracted something. Sacha Baron Cohen steals every scene as King Julien, the lemur ruler whose answer to every problem is louder music.

Shot at Pacific Data Images with a $75 million budget, the film earned over $540 million at the global box office and launched a franchise that now runs to three sequels and a Penguins spin-off. Stream Madagascar (2005) in full on iFILM.
