Full Speed

Full Speed (À fond, 2016) is a French action-comedy from Nicolas Benamou that you can watch online on iFILM. To beat the summer traffic, Tom packs his big family into a brand-new minivan, leaves before dawn and locks the cruise control at 130 km/h.

Then it all goes wrong. The electronics glitch, the brake pedal goes dead, the steering barely answers, and the van keeps barreling down the motorway with no way to slow it. Inside sit a cranky father-in-law played by André Dussollier, terrified kids and a son-in-law who now has to thread the speeding van through a hundred other cars without killing anyone he loves. José Garcia carries the whole mess, swinging between blind panic and desperate quick thinking.

Benamou shot most of the film in one cramped space at full tilt, and the tension runs on pure mechanics — one wrong move and it's over.
