Synopsis
The Love Guru (2008) is the Mike Myers comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Myers stars as Guru Pitka, an American raised in an Indian ashram who comes home determined to become the country's number-two self-help guru, right behind Deepak Chopra. His grand ambition: knock off the rival and land a magazine cover.
His shot comes through hockey. A star for the Toronto Maple Leafs has fallen apart on the ice after his wife left him for a smug rival goalie. The team's owner, played by Jessica Alba, hires Pitka to fix the player's head before the Stanley Cup finals. What follows is a barrage of puns, lowbrow gags, Justin Timberlake doing a French accent, and Ben Kingsley as a cross-eyed mentor.
Critics savaged it, and it swept several Razzies, including Worst Picture and Worst Actor. The humor lives firmly below the belt and won't be for everyone, so this one's really aimed at die-hard fans of Austin Powers-era Myers who want to see the silliest thing he ever made.
