Synopsis

She has a new name now: Georgina Ryland, a rising figure in art restitution who tracks down stolen masterpieces alongside the smooth, hard-to-read Gabriel Hirsch. A clean reinvention — until Venice. Gabriel lifts a seemingly minor artefact from a crooked dealer, and the two of them tumble into a conspiracy that runs from Saint-Tropez to Buenos Aires. The trail tangles with Victor's election campaign and the brothers Dario and Cesar; along the way Georgina is mugged, vanishes into a remote psychiatric ward, and watches a red-carpet shooting redraw every line. The past she fled keeps catching up to whoever she pretends to be.
