Synopsis
The Dream Team (Les seigneurs, 2012) is a French sports comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Once a famous footballer, Patrick has drunk his career away, and the only coaching job left for him is a hopeless amateur side on a small island in Brittany.
He can't say no. Without the gig, he loses the right to see his daughter. The trouble is, his players are postmen, fishermen and accountants who can barely string two passes together, and the local fish cannery is about to shut and gut the whole island's economy. So Patrick rolls the dice: he rounds up his old retired teammates, ex-pros who hung up their boots long ago, and drags them onto the pitch to save the town. The lineup is stacked with French comedy regulars, including José Garcia, Franck Dubosc, Gad Elmaleh, Omar Sy and Jean Reno.
It was directed by Olivier Dahan, better known for the Edith Piaf biopic La Vie en Rose. This is an unfussy, warm-hearted underdog story about second chances and team spirit, the kind of easy watch for a night when you just want laughs and someone to root for.
