Synopsis
Yolki 3 (2013), a Russian New Year comedy you can watch online on iFILM, is the third chapter of the Yolki anthology franchise. Eight directors — among them Aleksandr Kott, Anton Megerdichev and Levan Gabriadze — each crafted a separate story set on New Year's Eve across different corners of Russia, then threaded them together through one connecting idea: good deeds that ripple back to the people who started them. The cast includes Ivan Urgant, Sergei Svetlakov, Konstantin Khabensky, Valentin Gaft, Pyotr Fyodorov and Alexander Petrov.
The storylines run in parallel. Two new fathers whose toddlers reduce the celebration to chaos. Two dogs in love, separated by their owners, who take matters into their own paws. A skier and a snowboarder sprinting away from a military recruiter down a mountain slope. A romantically reckless professor from Yekaterinburg who risks ringing in the New Year through a hole in the ice at minus thirty.
The Yolki franchise built its audience one year at a time through the 2010s, and this third entry delivers the same warm, episodic package. Comfortable for family viewing, light on drama, heavy on charm — stream Yolki 3 (2013) on iFILM.
