Synopsis
The Last Princess (2016) is a Korean historical drama — watch it online on iFILM. Directed by Heo Jin-ho and starring Son Ye-jin, the film reconstructs the life of Deok-hye, the final princess of the Joseon Dynasty.
Born to a royal concubine, Deok-hye spent years without even an official name. Under Japan's colonial rule she is shipped to Tokyo as a political symbol of a conquered nation, struggling to hold on to her dignity in a place that allows her only the appearance of it. Childhood sweetheart Jang-han, a member of the Korean independence movement, makes it his mission to bring her back.
