Synopsis
Back to Mom's (Retour chez ma mère, 2016) is a French comedy from director Eric Lavaine that you can watch online on iFILM. Stephanie is forty, newly unemployed, and broke. So she packs up and moves back into her childhood bedroom.
Alexandra Lamy plays the reluctant daughter; Josiane Balasko is the mother who throws the door wide open and never closes it again. The welcome comes bundled with an overheated apartment, Francis Cabrel on permanent loop, nightly Scrabble, and a steady drip of advice on table manners and life choices. Mathilde Seigner and Jérôme Commandeur round out the clan, and old grudges that have been simmering for decades boil over right at the dinner table.
