Synopsis
Rugrats in Paris: The Movie (2000) is the big-screen spin-off of the Nickelodeon cartoon, and you can watch online on iFILM. The babies cross the Atlantic, and France, as the tagline warned, never had a chance.
It all kicks off when a giant dragon robot breaks down at the EuroReptarland theme park, and Stu Pickles gets flown in to fix it, dragging the whole gang along. While Tommy, Chuckie and the twins Phil and Lil scramble from the Eiffel Tower to Notre Dame, Chuckie quietly nurses a bigger wish: to find a new mom, since he's been growing up without one. Standing in the way is the scheming Coco LaBouche, who only wants a kid to climb the corporate ladder. Susan Sarandon, John Lithgow and Tim Curry lend their voices.
Directors Stig Bergqvist and Paul Demeyer made the sequel warmer than the first film, slipping a genuine story about a motherless boy under the slapstick. A solid family pick, especially for anyone raised on turn-of-the-millennium toons. Stream Rugrats in Paris (2000) online on iFILM.
