About

Synopsis

The Rugrats Movie (1998) is the big-screen spinoff of the beloved Nickelodeon cartoon, and you can watch it online on iFILM. A family comedy where the heroes can barely walk yet still set off on a full-blown wilderness adventure.

One-year-old Tommy Pickles gets a baby brother, Dil, and he is not thrilled. The newborn does nothing but wail and hog every grown-up in the house. So Tommy and the gang, including nervous Chuckie and twins Phil and Lil, decide the faulty baby should go back to the hospital. Their Reptar Wagon goes off course, dumping the whole crew deep in a forest, where escaped circus monkeys, a hungry wolf and a long cold night await. Somewhere out there, Tommy has to choose his brother over his grudge.

Directors Norton Virgien and Igor Kovalyov pushed the hand-drawn characters into a theatrical scale, with voice work from Tim Curry, Whoopi Goldberg and David Spade. The jokes run on two tracks: chases and mischief for the kids, sleepless-newborn gags for the parents. Pure nostalgia if you grew up in the nineties. Stream The Rugrats Movie (1998) online on iFILM.
