About

Synopsis

Ratatouille (2007) is a Pixar animated film you can watch online on iFILM — directed by Brad Bird, set in the kitchens of Paris, and built around a rat with a better palate than most trained chefs. Patton Oswalt voices Remy, a young rodent who can smell a bad ingredient from across the room and wants nothing more than to cook.

Remy ends up beneath the floors of the famous Gusteau's restaurant, where he strikes a secret deal with clumsy kitchen worker Linguini: Remy hides under Linguini's toque and steers him by the hair, while Linguini keeps the arrangement hidden from scheming head chef Skinner. The plan holds until the arrival of Anton Ego — voiced by Peter O'Toole in one of his sharpest performances — a critic whose single review can shutter a restaurant overnight.

The film won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature in 2008. Brad Bird constructs the food sequences with enough detail that they feel genuinely appetizing, which is no small feat when the protagonist lives in the sewers. Watch Ratatouille (2007) online on iFILM.
