Salvatores, an Oscar winner for Mediterraneo, made something rare for Europe here, a teenage superhero story without the Hollywood gloss, grounded in a real, rain-grey Turin rather than a generic skyline. The mood stays warm and a little melancholy, light on spectacle but strong on character. It is a solid pick for a family night with older kids who have grown tired of the usual blockbuster routine.
