Father Figures

Father Figures (2017) is a road-trip comedy you can watch online on iFILM. For their whole lives, fraternal twins Peter and Kyle were told their dad died when they were kids. Then they find out their mother made the whole thing up.

Owen Wilson and Ed Helms play the mismatched brothers who set off across the country chasing a father neither of them ever met. Their mom, played by Glenn Close, kept some lively company back in the day, so the list of possible candidates gets long and awkward fast. Along the road they run into J.K. Simmons, Ving Rhames, NFL legend Terry Bradshaw as himself, and a wonderfully odd Christopher Walken. The more they dig, the more they learn about a mother they thought they knew.

This was cinematographer Lawrence Sher (The Hangover) stepping behind the camera as director for the first time, and the humor is loose, crude and built on the two leads bouncing off each other.
