Megaboa

Megaboa (2021) is a creature-feature horror about an oversized snake, and you can watch it online on iFILM. A group of college students heads into the jungle to study an ancient petroglyph and runs straight into a fifty-foot boa with an appetite.

The trip is meant to be archaeology; it turns into a footrace. The prehistoric thing has been dormant for ages and wakes up hungry, picking off the cast one at a time. Eric Roberts shows up, as he tends to in films like this, lending a familiar face to the carnage. Director Mario N. Bonassin keeps it lean: eighty-five minutes, most of them chase and chomp.

This is unapologetic B-movie territory, all CGI serpent, thin plot and screaming. It's made for a beer-and-couch night with a goofy monster, not for anyone hunting subtlety. Know what you're signing up for and it delivers exactly that. Stream Megaboa (2021) online on iFILM.
