Merlí. Sapere Aude (2019) is a Spanish dramedy series you can watch online on iFILM, a spin-off of the hit Merlí that moves the action from a high school into the philosophy faculty of a Barcelona university.

Pol Rubio is now a first-year student, juggling coursework, friendships and his own restless doubts about who he is. On campus he meets María Bolaño, a sharp, magnetic professor who pushes her students to argue, question and think for themselves. Carlos Cuevas returns as Pol, with María Pujalte as the mentor carrying her own quiet baggage. As in the original, each episode orbits a single thinker's ideas, but the lectures now sit next to adult stuff: sex, illness, identity and the cost of being honest with the people you love.

The show keeps the parent series' signature mix, comic lightness and sudden emotional weight in the same scene. The Latin sapere aude, dare to know, isn't decoration here but a working instruction the characters keep tripping over. A good watch if you loved Merlí and want a couple more seasons with Pol.
