Merlí (2015) is a Spanish drama-comedy series you can watch online on iFILM — three seasons produced for Catalan broadcaster TV3, created by Héctor Lozano. Francesc Orella plays a philosophy teacher who walks into a Barcelona high school and immediately ignores every rule the faculty has quietly agreed to live by.

His lessons don't come from a textbook. One day he hauls the class to a cemetery to talk about Epicurus. The next he stages the Peripatetics in a hallway. Carlos Cuevas plays Bruno, Merlí's own teenage son, who ends up in his father's class — a man he barely knows.
