Synopsis

Jared Leto plays Nick, a quiet former GI hardened by years in a wartime camp. Behind bars he saves a yakuza's life, and that debt earns him a place inside a clan sealed off from foreigners. What follows is a slow initiation into a brotherhood built on ink, loyalty and blood. Tadanobu Asano plays his mentor, with Shiori Kutsuna and Emile Hirsch rounding out the cast. Every rung Nick climbs costs him something he cannot get back.
